Each of us is unique and this requires us to create our own individual way of unifying our body and mind. Yes, practice the standard yoga downward dog - but then create your own unique Crazy Dog that challenges, corrects and enlivens you. What is the right way of eating for you to help improve on your current health? How can you create enough space in your life right now for simple joy and laughter?
The aim is for you to discover how to engage your IMAGINATION to develop your whole body and mind - to let all parts cooperate with each other. Practicing only one health method by rote learning may create a division between your developed and undeveloped parts. Yet, if you engage with your own imagination truthfully, then you are continually unifying more parts of your body-mind to adapt to change in a healthy way. All of your life then becomes an opportunity to create your own ways to wellbeing.
In the ancient Chinese book, The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, the Emperor asked the master of Oriental Medicine, why does there exist different methods to enhance wellbeing? The master replied, people live in different environments, with a variety of constitutions, diets and lifestyles - and this creates the need for a diversity of methods.
How do we cultivate, train and strengthen the body and mind correctly? This is different for each person and the aim is to discover it for yourself through experiencing opposites - tension and relaxation, doing and non-doing, self-reflective activities and complete abandonment of self.
This course is experiential in nature - meaning emphasis is placed on creativity and feeling into the experience, and to engaging your imagination into searching for truth in your daily life. This includes creating your own crazy yoga poses!

When Matt began studying a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 1990, like many massage therapists, he soon developed sore hands, wrists, arms & neck from performing so many massages.
Searching for a different way to move his body, Matt discovered Okido yoga - which encompasses Indian Yoga, Japanese Zen, Chinese Taoism and Western Health practices. After many years of training Okido Yoga, Shiatsu Massage, Qigong, Acupuncture, Shotokan Karate, Matt is keen to help others to fully engage their imagination to create their own health practices in order to adapt to life’s continuous challenges and changes.
Matt Sincock lives in Bellingen and is a registered therapist in Acupuncture, Yoga, Shiatsu, Remedial Massage, Qigong, and a First Aid Instructor. He runs a busy private practice in Bellingen, and a community acupuncture and shiatsu clinic.
Matt has taught Shiatsu to Diploma level for a number of colleges including the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences and the Australian College of Eastern Medicine. He teaches Okido Yoga, Qigong and first aid classes in Bellingen with workshops in Sydney and Brisbane. Matt is currently writing Diploma level Shiatsu courses and studies in Oriental Medicine Theory for registered training organisations throughout Australia.
