Joyful Modern Indian Dance blending Classical Indian, Bhangra, Afro-Latin, Hip-hop and Belly! More than just a dance class, we will be integrating other aspects of Indian culture such as Yoga, visualisation, theatre and costuming. By the end of the class you will be shimmying across the dance floor like a Bollywood star!
Suitable for everyone. Bring bindis, colourful jewellery, scarves, sense of humour and all your enthusiasm! Zerina says: “Dancing has always been my passion.
I especially love Bollywood dance because it is so joyful and energetic but also because it is for everyone, young and old. For me, dance is an expression of life. When people move their bodies and connect with others, they experience a sense of joy and belonging. Assisting people connect with themselves and their community is the reason I do this work. I feel especially honoured to share my own ancestry through Bollywood dance.”

This is more than a dance workshop. It is a full five day course which includes dance, creative exploration of all the elements, release work using play, singing, music, drawing, and sharing. Cheze’s classes are both uplifting to body and soul, integrating body awareness through technique, relaxation and through rhythm, all with the chance to experience the joy and freedom of letting go and getting in touch with your wild side. This course is dynamic and some dance or movement background would be helpful but not necessary - just be prepared to MOOVE, GROOVE, SWEAT AND SMILE ALL OVER. The five days will include some collaboration with the drummers and you may participate in a combined performance at the Camp’s conclusion.
