This class is structured to teach people who have already started to write a memoir, family history, novel or short story. It explores the development of character and plot and points to the common mistakes made by new writers. Participants should expect to do a fair amount of writing on their own during the course and this will be subject to instructor and group critique. Expect homework to be given every night. This course is hard work and shouldn’t be taken casually. Students should bring writing equipment and something they have written in the past.
