Screen Printing with 'Potts'  NEW

Discover the joy of designing & printing your own images !

All processes of screen-printing will be covered; from getting your design ”screen ready”, to printing your work onto your choice of substrate: fabric, paper or timber We will be using hand-cut stencils, as well as the photo-emulsion process, to transfer images to screen, learn how to “strip “ your screen (emulsion removal) and print with solvent-free, water-based inks.

Graham "Potts"  Porter

Graham "Potts" Porter

Potts is an artist whose creative life has extended over 45 years: He has Diplomas in Fine Art & Graphic Design, which have provided a platform to hone his skills as a designer and screen-printer, producing illustrative and design work for many clients, as well as his own Fine Art practice.

His experience in the advertising and fashion industry included working for AZ Films, Gearprint, Midori, Rip Curl and Ritzenhoff Glassware(Germany)

Exhibiting for the first time in 1996 as a Fine Artist, he has continued to show his work collectively and solo, in Art Galleries, from Noosa to Melbourne.

Potts is currently living in Mullumbimby with his artist wife, Anne Leon, where they produce screen-printed t-towels, timber postcards, under their POSTBOARDS label, and continue their Fine Arts practice.

Course Requirements

Materials cost of $50 includes:

Film positives

1 screen and Squeegee

Inks for class

Paper & fabric for practice

Student requirements:


--FABRIC: Pre-washed natural fabrics, T shirts, tote bags,  T towels, etc.

--PAPER: Good quality paper, if wanted

--WOOD: Ply board or smooth, flat surfaced timber




-black felt tip pens (assorted sizes)


-masking tape

-stencil knife

-cutting board

-inspiration (drawings, photos etc)

-Clothes you won’t mind getting dirty or stained by ink

-comfy closed-in shoes
