Six Unity Qigong: Movement, Breath and the Art of Nourishing Life

$279.00

What does it mean to nourish life?

For centuries, Chinese culture has used the term Yang Sheng (養生), often translated as “nourishing life”, to describe practices that support health, vitality and harmony in everyday living.

In this course, participants will learn Six Unity Qigong (Liu He Gong 六合功), a traditional system of movement, breath and awareness that develops coordination, balance and ease throughout the body. The term “Six Unity” refers to the harmonisation of six relationships within the body and mind. Internally, it explores the unity of attention, intention and breath. Externally, it develops coordination through the body’s three dimensions: up and down, left and right, and front and back.

Alongside the movement practice, students will learn the Six Healing Sounds, a classical breathing method that combines sound, posture and awareness to support relaxation and self-regulation.

Each session will include gentle warm-up exercises, movement practice, breathing exercises, standing and seated meditation, and opportunities to explore how these principles can be integrated into everyday life.

Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, this course offers a practical introduction to Qigong as a lifelong practice of health cultivation, self-awareness and embodied learning.

Participants will leave with a complete movement sequence and breathing practice that can be continued independently after the course.
