YOUR COURSE TUTOR

Ben Hannagan

Ben has spent over 20 years sharing the joy of flow arts with children and communities across Australia. A Bellingen local returning home after many years on the road, Ben has delivered 1000+ engaging workshops in schools, OSHC and festivals, teaching the art of juggling, spinning plates, flower sticks, and poi to children of all ages.

He believes these playful skills are more than just fun—they’re a way for children to build focus, confidence, and creativity while learning to embrace persistence and practice. Ben’s teaching style is gentle, encouraging, and deeply respectful of each child’s pace, ensuring every participant leaves with new skills and a genuine sense of achievement. His sessions are filled with laughter, learning, and the quiet thrill that comes from seeing something that once felt impossible become possible.

  • Each session will encourage them to explore movement, rhythm, and coordination while nurturing their sense of achievement with every small win.

As the week progresses, children will develop skills they can continue to practise at home, building patience, persistence, and a deep satisfaction that comes from seeing their own progress.

Beyond learning to toss and catch, these sessions are about experiencing the joy of movement, learning through doing, and discovering how fun it can be to try, drop, and try again. It’s a gentle, encouraging introduction to the flow arts, delivered in a way that honours each child’s unique learning style and fosters a love of movement that can last a lifetime.

  • Please bring the following on your first day of class:

    • A water bottle

    • Food for break time

    • A bag or backpack

    • A hat and or Sunscreen

Clothing: Comfortable, well-fitted clothes that allow freedom of movement are ideal. Dresses and loose-fitting clothing may restrict movement and make learning more challenging, so leggings, shorts, or pants are recommended. Enclosed footwear.

All juggling and flow arts equipment will be provided during the sessions.

This class has an extra materials cost of $25, which is payable directly to the tutor.

Once you book your ticket, the tutor will be in touch to arrange payment.

    Cost includes:

    • Set of 3 juggling balls

    • Set of 3 juggling scarves

  • No previous experience is needed. Participants simply need a willingness to learn through play and to have a go.
