YOUR COURSE TUTOR

Sandrena Brennan

Sandrena studied at the Croydon College of Art in the UK. She also studied fashion design and pattern drafting, and worked in the industry both here and in the UK.

She has taught patchwork, quilting and embroidery for 20 years in Coffs Harbour.

 

  • Please bring the following on your first day of class:

    • 20cm embroidery hoop (with the inner hoop bound with white bias binding)

    • 4 strips of calico, each measuring 8cmx45cm

    • Embroidery scissors

    • Pin cushion

    • Berry pins (dressmaking pins) approx 60-70

    • Pen & notepad

    • Fine beige and brown Nymo Beading Thread

    • Mechanical pencil with lead

    • Fabric eraser

    • Blue water erasable pen

    • DMC embroidery threads (exact list will be supplied by the tutor on booking)

    • Needles

      • Embroidery - 1 packet assorted sizes 5-10

      • Curved needle size 10

      • Straw needles - 1 packet assorted sizes 5-9

      • Chenille needles - 1 packet size 24

    This class has an extra materials cost of approx. $195, which is payable directly to the tutor.

    Once you book your ticket, the tutor will be in touch to arrange payment.

    Cost includes:

    • Pre-cut mountboard for pattern pieces

    • Printed and pre-cut fabric for the inside and outside of the box

    • Pre-cut fabric for doors and windows

    • Pre-cut felt padding

    • Folder for notes and pattern pieces

  • No experience required.
