-
We start each day with easy and fun warmups and drama games, before learning a core principle of improvisation.
There is a saying in improv - 'bring a brick, not a skyscraper', which means that even the smallest contributions are a valuable part of the whole picture we're building together.
Kids become more confident expressing themselves in a group setting. We put everything we've learnt into practice by ending each session with performance games and at the end of the week we will perform some of our favourites to friends and family.
-
No experience required.
-
NOTE: THIS IS A PLAN ONLY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE
DAY ONE
After a fun warmup we introduce the principle of 'yes and' - the foundation of improv.
We play games which introduce theatrical concepts and create scenes and images together.
DAY TWO
Interacting with our environment and creating places and spaces.
DAY THREE
Creating characters.
DAY FOUR
Playing from emotion.
DAY FIVE
Finding the game - today we bring everything we've learned together.
We learn to heighten the funniest elements of our scenes and perform a selection of our favourite games.
