Kade Valja
Kade is a multi-disciplinary artist primarily exploring interests in organic form, energetic forces, technology, consciousness and perception using a wide range of ever-expanding media.
He runs school holiday aerosol workshops every school holiday in Grafton NSW, and teaches after school art at the Grafton Regional Gallery. His workshops across the Northern Rivers region, ranging from traditional painting approaches to stencils to augmented reality (AR).
Kade has been teaching at Camp Creative since 2023.

Students will take home several pieces created over the week including stickers, posters and reusable stencils as well as a course reference material booklet.

Please bring the following on your first day of class:
A4 sketchbook (or larger)
Pencil
Eraser
Pencil sharpener
.5mm or smaller Chisel tip permanent marker (sharpie or similar)
Clothes for painting
Any color paint markers/ink markers and preferred drawing materials
Portable VR headset (Oculus Quest etc.) with 'Kingspray' app installed (optional)
This class has an extra materials cost of $115, which is payable directly to the tutor.
Once you book your ticket, the tutor will be in touch to arrange payment.

Professional artist quality spray paint (5 colors each)
Pencils and drawing tools
Scissors and stencil knife
Surfaces for painting and application practice
Paper and acetate for stencil making
Sticker paper
PVA Glue and spray adhesive
Use of VR headset (Oculus Quest) for spraypaint simulator
Course reference material booklet

DAY TWO
Demonstration and brief history of Street Art
Designing stencils
Sketching posters and sticker ideas
DAY THREE
Developing Graffiti letter sketches and adding colours on paper
Spray-painting letter pieces from sketch
Developing poster and sticker designs
DAY FOUR
Multi layered stencils
Developing pieces in chosen mediums
Designing a collaborative mural with our sketches
DAY FIVE
Refining designs and final posters, stickers, paintings and sketches
Painting collaborative mural.
