PHOTOS AND/OR PROPS: Either photograph something like the following or bring along the actual prop. Props will always give you more satisfactory and accurate colour than photos provide.

    Ensure your images are -

    1. Colourful objects or subjects

    2. Of subjects with textures – such as fur, fabrics, vessels (glass, pottery, ceramic, metal etc), soft, hard, shiny, wet, bark, sand or spikey, etc. There is no need to have all of these in your references , just a couple such as a photo or prop of glass (shiny and reflective) on a wooden board (timber grain markings) or a photo of a furry pet on a shiny satin cushion. THESE ARE EXAMPLES ONLY to prompt you.

    3. Images for your own projects – best to have more than you think you will use.
