Marc Renshaw
Marc Renshaw is a professional visual artist with a background in street art, stencil art graffiti and printmaking.
He is a passionate arts educator at Nambucca Phoenix arts centre and owner of Bellingen’s Big Fig Arts ARI. With over 35 years experience in event management, design, music performance and visual arts Marc is a tutor that can assist you in getting your creative ideas out of your head and into reality.

Once your custom gear is ready, it's time to hit the ground rolling!
With a trained skateboarding coach by your side, you'll learn the fundamental skills of skating in a fun, encouraging environment where everyone cheers each other on.
Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to build more confidence, you'll discover how to balance, push off, and cruise around while making new friends who share your adventurous spirit.
By the end of the workshop, you'll not only have your own personalised skateboard and helmet, but also the skills and confidence to keep skating and creating long after the fun is over!

Please bring the following on your first day of class:
Skate style shoes or runners
Loose clothing suitable for skateboarding
This class has an extra materials cost of $250, which is payable directly to the tutor 21 days prior to the event.
Once you book your ticket, the tutor will be in touch to arrange payment.

Skateboard deck
Skateboard wheel assembly
Skateboard helmet
Everything you need to decorate and personalise your new gear

DAY ONE
Develop designs for the skateboard helmet
Introduction to learning to skateboard (using our equipment)
DAY TWO
Use the designs to guide the painting of the skateboard helmet
Practice the basic skills of skateboarding (using our equipment)
DAY THREE
Develop design for the skateboard deck
Practice the basic skills and add the next level skills (using our equipment)
DAY FOUR
Use the designs to guide the of the skateboard deck
Practice the basic skills and add the next level skills (using our equipment)
DAY FIVE
Assemble the skateboards
Have a little skate event and celebrate everyone's achievements
