Nadira Perera
Nadira Perera is a passionate dance and wellbeing facilitator who loves bringing people together through movement, creativity, and joy.
Born in Sri Lanka, Nadira spent over 20 years living in Paris, France, where she discovered her love of dance through Latin Dance and Modern Jazz while training and working as a qualified beauty therapist. In 2010, she made Australia her home and later established her own wellbeing and beauty salon in Bellingen, where she has been supporting the local community for over 15 years through beauty therapy, massage, bodywork, and holistic wellbeing.
A lifelong lover of movement, Nadira continues to explore and enjoy many dance styles, including Latin Dance, Modern Jazz, Zouk, Kizomba, Salsa, Bachata, Hip Hop, African Dance, and Imbibe Fusion Dance. She believes dance is far more than movement—it is a joyful expression of life that has the power to uplift, connect, and nourish the body, mind, and spirit.
In 2013, Nadira began her Bollywood dance journey with the Bollywood Sisters, Shamila and Zerina, whose passion, creativity, and vibrant teaching inspired her love of Bollywood dance. This year, while Shamila and Zerina are overseas celebrating Zerina's 50th birthday, Nadira has been invited to step into the teaching role for Camp Creative. She feels deeply honoured by their trust and is excited to share the joy, colour, music, storytelling, and energy of Bollywood with the Camp Creative community.
Nadira believes dance is for everyone, regardless of age or experience. Her classes focus on building confidence, encouraging self-expression, celebrating culture, and creating a welcoming, supportive space where participants feel inspired to move, connect, and have fun.
Joining Nadira is assistant tutor Jemah Day, a yoga teacher and space holder, whose calming presence helps create a nurturing and inclusive environment throughout the week.
Together, Nadira and Jemah invite participants to experience the colour, rhythm, storytelling, and joyful spirit of Bollywood while building confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories through dance.
