COURSE TUTOR
Sue Connor
Sue has been a primary school teacher for more than twenty-five years and has only just recently retired. She is also a talented textile and fibre artist and over the last eight years, has been continuously running workshops in felting, botanical dyeing and basketry.
In 2014 Sue started Playing with Fibre after a friend convinced her to run some felting workshops. Running workshops is now one of her passions.
Being able to share her love of creating and making natural handmade products and seeing the joy that it brings to participants is very rewarding. An added benefit is that she gets to meet lovely like minded people.
Getting back to traditional handmade trades enables us to connect with our past. Using all natural dyes and fibres enables us to have an enhanced appreciation of our environment.
“Sue was an excellent teacher, patient and expert. I learnt a lot and by the end of the week had a lot of products to take away with me.”
“Sue was great - well planned course learning basics and moving forward with practical goals most days so had finished pieces which was motivational and not too overwhelming. Also provided tools for future crafting and option to buy more materials.”
