COURSE TUTOR
Lucille van Ligten
Hi, I’m Lucy!
I am a passionate, Gold Coast-based artist and a certified trainer (Cert IV) with over 25 years of experience sharing the absolute joy of making art. For me, art isn’t just about the final piece on the wall; it is a powerful tool for building confidence, sparking curiosity, and discovering what you are truly capable of creating.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to creativity. My absolute passion is teaching you a foundational technique—whether that’s the rich textures of Gelliplate printmaking, taking it to new levels and making artwork you are proud to hang on your wall.
“Lucy was so knowledgeable and generous with that knowledge and her time. I had so many ‘light bulb’ moments in her class and feel confident to take what I have learnt today to my practice at home. I would thoroughly recommend her class to others and look forward to participating in more of Lucy’s classes in the future.”
“Had such a great day! We arrived to the perfect cup of coffee, surrounded by Lucy’s beautiful artwork. In this hands-on workshop, we learnt about layering, colour, and texture, and came home with six of our own paintings. Already booked another class — 10/10, loved it!”
