Loose, comfortable, casual clothing - No skirts please
You will receive an email from Tegan prior to the commencement of Camp Creative to let you know the costume requirements.
They won’t be expensive and wherever possible will be normal street clothes.

COURSE PLAN
Day 1: Foundations & Old School Grooves
Explore the roots of hip hop culture and get comfortable with foundational bounce and rhythm.
Learn your first set of classic, old-school hip hop steps to some iconic throwback tracks.
Day 2: Modern Styles & Fusion
Dive into modern hip hop and RnB styles, experimenting with sharper lines and different subgenres.
Begin learning the first dynamic sections of the week's major choreography.
Day 3: Building the Routine
Expand your skills with fun isolations, footwork challenges, and adding your own personal flair.
Work together as a class to build up and memorise the main blocks of the finale routine.
Day 4: Formations & Rehearsals
Learn stage formations, spacing, and group transitions to make the choreography look clean and sharp.
Run full group rehearsals to build muscle memory and lock in that crew confidence.
Day 5: The High-Energy Finale!
Fine-tune the details, run a final dress rehearsal, and hype up the crew backstage.

COURSE TUTOR
Tegan Hannaford
Tegan is a professional dancer and dance teacher living and working in Sydney.
She studied two years of full-time dance training at Sydney’s Brent Street, a performing arts school under the tutelage of Paris Cav, Cassie Bartho, Matt Gode and Cameron Mitchell.
Tegan has performed as a backup dancer for RnB artists in video clips, live sporting events, club shows and most recently, a show on Netflix.
She grew up in Bellingen and, at 14, began dancing at Rivers Dance Centre, assisting and learning from the incredible Tehani Carmen Vicario. Tegan attended many Camp Creative courses when she was younger and is so excited to now be on the other side, to share her love and passion for dance with the next generation.
