We're looking for help!

Camp Creative is seeking four talented and motivated volunteers to join our team, helping to build our organisation and deliver a fantastic 40th anniversary event in January 2026.

We are looking for:

A Marketing and Publicity Coordinator. This person would have experience with innovative marketing and publicity strategies for arts and/or community organisations and a good understanding of what works in the digital marketing space. They would also have great ideas about how to get the best value from a limited budget and how to reach city as well as regional audiences.

A Volunteer Coordinator. We want to build our volunteer base and are hoping to find the right person to lead the effort - someone who understands the incredible value of volunteers, how to recruit, retain and deploy them. It will also help to be very organised and have great leadership skills that allow volunteers to feel included and valued.

A Sponsorship and Community Engagement Coordinator. This person will enjoy developing great relationships with businesses and community organisations across the Bellingen Shire and beyond to raise the profile of Camp Creative, to highlight our financial and cultural value and help ensure our financial stability.

A Grant Writer. This person will assist us by identifying funding opportunities and writing and submitting grants where possible and appropriate. It may also involve liaising with partners in government, business and community to identify opportunities for partnership funding opportunities.

If you think you might be able to help in any of these roles,

we’d love to hear from you.

Please email Sean Slavin president@campcreative.com.au

to tell us about yourself and how your skills and experience would suit the role.

Jamie Park Scholarship

Deb Cairns (L), the winner of the inaugural Camp Creative Jamie Park Memorial Scholarship says she thoroughly enjoyed her pastels course with tutor Louise Cork at this year’s event.

Deb loves painting pets, and she found a way to thank the Park family for their generosity in directing donations to Camp Creative in memory of Jamie by doing a portrait of two of the family dogs. "Deb has captured the character of the dogs beautifully,” said Libby Park (R) when she was presented with the portrait last week.

The Jamie Park Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Jamie who passed away only a year ago. After busy and diverse careers overseas and in Australia, Jamie and Libby moved to Bellingen and established the Kitchen Shop in the main street and quickly became known for their generous support of community events and organisations.

Attending Camp Creative, Jamie found his calling as a sketch and pastel artist. His artistic journey, which began later in life, shows that fulfilling creative pursuits are available to all regardless of background, education or prior experience.

“Jamie was a wonderful example of how Camp Creative can open doors and possibilities for people they never imagined they had”, said Camp Creative President, Sean Slavin.

Bellingen Youth Orchestra Scholarships

Camp Creative is a proud supporter of the Bellingen Youth Orchestra.

This year we were able to assist with their Junior Scholarship Program. Pictured are the scholarship recipients who each auditioned in front of an adjudicator.

The scholarships are used by the young musicians for various purposes, including to purchase instruments and to pay for lessons. Anyone lucky enough to have heard the Orchestra  will understand the work and dedication these young people put into study and rehearsal.

Important Dates

This year the Camp Creative program will go live on our website on

1 July 2025
As usual, you will have 1 week to peruse the program and make decisions before courses go on sale at

6pm 8 July 2025

Experience tells us that many of our most popular courses sell out in hours, so it's worth being organised.

In the meantime..

there is a new section on the website where you can have a look at our course archive dating back to 2018. Start here

Camp Creative communication

We've noticed that some people have been missing out on our emails. Because email is the primary way that Camp Creative communicates with participants, we want to ensure everyone receives the messages. Likewise, the best way to get in touch with us is by email.

The best way to avoid our emails going to spam is to add  info@campcreative.com.au to your contacts.
